The big one: GTA 6
GTA 6 launches November 19 at $79.99 for the Standard Edition. Digital pre-orders can download it from November 12, and physical copies, which hold a download code instead of a disc, go on sale the same day. Everything confirmed, with sources, is in the GTA 6 release date guide.
Why November is so quiet otherwise
Publishers plan around big launches. A new Grand Theft Auto is the kind of release that takes players’ money and time for weeks, so most companies with a major new game either moved into October (Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and Phantom Blade Zero both land in late October) or pushed to December and 2027. What’s left in November is mostly:
- Switch 2 editions of existing games: Stellar Blade, Metaphor: ReFantazio, Pikmin 4 and a new release of Ocarina of Time.
- Smaller new games with their own audience, like Edge of Memories and Sonic Pico Park.
If you’re not playing GTA 6 at launch, November is a good month to catch up on October’s big releases or one of these ports.
Switch 2 owners
Nintendo’s console gets the most November releases by count. Ocarina of Time on November 5 and the Pikmin 4 Switch 2 Edition on November 12 are the two first-party highlights. Use the Switch 2 filter on the release calendar to see only those.
