Eren Şimşir is the founder and editor of Checkpoint Brief. He builds the site's trackers, the release calendar and the free games list, and writes its guides.

Background

  • B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Düzce University (2025)
  • M.Sc. student in Computer Engineering, Kocaeli University
  • Is completing a double major in Industrial Engineering
  • Works as a software developer; previously worked as a data scientist

How he works

Eren is a software engineer and a player, not a games industry insider, and the site doesn't pretend otherwise. His job here is checking: finding what a publisher actually announced, linking it, and keeping it current. The trackers are built from code that reads published data, and every page shows when its facts were last checked. See how we verify and the editorial policy.
